Where is the hood latch on a Chevy Cruze?

The Hood Latch on a Chevy Cruze
To locate the hood latch on a Chevy Cruze, you can follow these steps:
1. Unlock and open the driver’s side door.
2. Look under the driver’s side of the dashboard, to the left of the brake pedal. You will find the hood open latch there.
3. Slide your fingers behind the latch and firmly pull out. You will hear a faint “pop” coming from the front of the car, indicating that the latch has released the hood.
It’s important to note that the Chevy Cruze complies with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 113, which requires two separate actions to open the hood to prevent accidental hood opening while driving. Therefore, after pulling the interior hood release latch, you will need to move to the front of the car and locate the second hood release latch. This second latch is found directly above the Chevrolet logo on the grill of your car. Slide your hand just under the lip of the hood to locate the second hood latch, and push the latch to fully release the hood.
Remember to securely place the hood prop into the slot on the underside of the hood when working under the hood, and when closing the hood, make sure all the filler caps are properly secured.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
